05-04-2012 Kathy Knox Clinic, May 4th, 5th & 6th, 2012
We are very pleased to have Kathy Knox back in our area for a clinic May 4th, 5th and 6th in Eatonville, WA. Kathy is one of the most highly respected handlers and trainers in the country winning many trials including Meeker and the 1995 National Sheepdog Finals and placing high in many others such as coming in second in the 2005 National Finals. Her training method focuses on what our magnificent herding dogs are bred to do and what we need to do as handlers to use, not fight, those instincts. Kathy’s excellent stockmanship and awareness of the dog allows her to spot where problems actually start and offer creative solutions that reward the dog with what they want most, to work the sheep. She is patient and helps students and dogs from Novice through Open levels. The clinic is very interactive as questions (none are too basic) and discussions are encouraged. We have a couple working spots available for any two of the days or all three days she is here and we also welcome auditors.
