Dogs, 4-8yrs, at different levels of training, for sale. One female would make an excellent starter dog for someone: has won numerous nov/nov trials, great out runs, knows her flanks, drives... One male would be a great help for someone with a small farm. Easy to handle, respectful of his sheep. A Female that would do well with cattle on a ranch or possibly trialing.

Little Devils Born On Valentine's Day!  5  females  and  2  males :
male-B&W, male-Tri B&W, female B&W, female Tri B&W, and 2 females that
are an odd, grey-brown with white.... don't know what color that is yet.

This repeat breeding should have competitive Nursery trialing prospects for 2012 trialling year.  All the pups have slick coats and prick-ears.  Looking for tremendous heart and biddability, big outruns, smooth pace, athletic builds, and stable temperments.
$500 per pup

Dam: N. Williams' "Gael" (S. Applegate's "Tug" X C.Jones' "Katie")
Sire: N. Williams' "Nap"   (A.Millikins' Int.Champ. "Star" X "Grace")

"Gael" is a 8 year old slick-coated, keen bitch, with moderate eye.  She runs a full and reasonable outrun, very biddable,  quite calm when working, has a wonderfully smooth pace, yet she is always quick to sprint into fast, clean flanks.  She has won many open trials as well as a Double Lift trial over the past 7 years, and has always qualified for the USBCHA National Finals.   She has the ability to quickly settle and control both light, reactive sheep and heavy, range sheep.  She seems resistent to the summer heat.  Hips xrayed and eyes  "Good" status.  Gael has produced 21 pups before this litter and I have kept back and trained 8 of them to Nursery level.  Other pups have done very well in both sheep and cattle farming homes.
"Nap" is my 5 year old open trialling dog.  He is a slick-coated, clever and action-packed worker.  He runs a wide outrun with lots of flexibility to redirect on double lifts. He also works cattle well and has a hard grip to heel or nose.  Couragous, extreme biddability and keen. He was a very competitive Nursery trialler from a young age and has gone on to become a very competitive Open trial winner.   I have competed with him at the USBCHA Finals for the past 4 years and also at Soldier Hollow in 2009.

Previous litters of this mating have produced some awesome sheepdogs.
"Lad" is now my Open trialling dog and qualified for and competed in 3 Double Lift trials in his first months of Open trialling in 2009.  He has worked especailly well on undogged range ewes with his smooth, calm & powerful style. He has 13 points towards qualifying for 2010 USBCHA Finals.  Lad seems resistent to heat.
"Max" qualified for the USBCHA Nursery Finals as a yearling in 2009 and I am looking forward to his second Nursery in 2010.  He flanks freely like Gael.
"Fly" will be brought out in Nursery in 2010.  She's like a smaller version of "Lad", smooth, powerful and a wee bit hungry.

I have a friend looking for a retired dog to help on her small farm.  She keeps approx. 25 ewes and needs a dog who is capable of moving lambs from paddock to paddock and occasionally gathering a 7 acre pasture.  It's a good home and the dog's age isn't important as long as it has the ability to move moms & babies.  There are other dogs, cats, chickens, and horses on the property and will only take on an older dog who has self control around those noted.  There are no children on the property so there are no concerns there.

If anyone is looking for a super retirement home I can tell you this home will offer great care and attention, plus Lyndsey has experience with working dogs already.  Her other working BC is fine but the dog won't work lambs--making spring a challenging time.  I trust her with my own dogs (which she borrows often) and would give her one of my retired dogs, if I had one, in a heartbeat.

Feel free to contact me or Lyndsey directly at bayrosee@gmail.com

Thanks,
Maggi McClure
